Power Point “Lectures” and “Oral Poster Presentations”

Instructions

The presentations will be carried out on the dedicated IBM compatible personal computers of the conference center equipped with Microsoft Windows XP operating system. The digital presentation file should be compat- ible with Microsoft PowerPoint PC version XP. Mac users should check in advance the PC compatibility of their presentations (Note: Presentations created on Macintosh PowerPoint version 98/2001 should be compatible with PC version XP if they do not contain objects from Mac only applications). Please, bring your presentation on a CD, formatted with the ISO9660 standard, or USB pen drive and check it with the projection staff in good time before your presentation. We do not support ZIP disks. If your presentation contains movie animations make sure they are compatible with Microsoft Media Player or Apple Quicktime (ver 5.0 and up).

The Abstracts have to be sent exclusively by e-mail as attachment files (Microsoft Word for IBM-compatible) to the Organizing Secretariat

Abstracts may include: Tables, Schemes, Figures and References. To maintain a consistent appearance, all abstracts must be prepared in the following style:

• maximum space limit is 2 pages only
• Times New Roman font (Symbol font for special characters) and 1.5 spacing throughout
• 14 point boldface font for the abstract title
• 12 point normal font for authors’ names and text
• presenting author underlined
• affiliations distinguished by superscript numbers if necessary
• 12 point italic font for affiliations and references placed at the end of the abstract (For example: Agostinelli E, Tempera G, Viceconte N, Saccoccio S, Battaglia V, Grancara S, Toninello A, Stevanato R (2010) Potential anticancer application of polyamine oxidation products formed by amine oxidase: a new therapeutic approach. Amino Acids 38:353-368)
• 10 point italic font for e-mail address of presenting author
• one blank line left between address and the beginning of the abstract
• maximum usable area for abstracts is 16.0 cm wide and 24.0cm high

Poster requirements

We recommend that you adopt the AO Standard of 1.189 meter tall by .841 meter wide as the dimensions for your poster.
